Sometimes we have to share some sad news and today is one of them. We have received word that our sponsored resident at Wings of Hope in Haiti, Sam, has gained his new wings.

The word comes with some information about Sam's life and loves, like French fries and music. It reminds us that for his approx 20 years on earth, he struggled with severe health conditions but was able to enjoy crafts, jokes and laughter. As he grew, his physical conditions grew worse and he was under a doctor's care when he left this life. Some photos of Sam will be posted here, including a recent Valentine's photo taken before his passing.

Our sponsorship will move to a new resident at Wings of Hope, but for now we grieve for Sam and we celebrate Sam's new life as well.

Mission Trip
:  Terry & Rachel Polen and Pastor Lynn went on a mission trip to Mizak, Haiti in January 2014 with a group from Community of Grace. They primarily did vision screening and care and also took supplies for people in that area.

In October 2016, Pastor Lynn accompanied a group to Haiti to do vision screenings.
